The Danish Micro Combined Heat and Power project

Danish Micro Combined Heat and Power is working to develop, test and demon-strate micro combined heat and power units that run on fuel cells. The aim is to have units ready for Danish and foreign consumers after the end of the project in 2014.

These ambitions make Danish Micro Combined Heat and Power a dynamic development project. The consortium continuously uses the sub-results from tests and demonstrations at the homes of actual consumers to further develop and improve their micro combined heat and power units.

Danish Micro Combined Heat and Power combines the competencies of eight leading Danish energy companies in one national consortium. This makes the project the first European fuel cell project of its type.

The project has 3 phases:
Phase 1: Development and laboratory testing of units.
Phase 2 : Limited field test, approx 10 units.
Phase 3 : Field test of a large number of units, both natural gas and hydrogen fuelled.
